You've got to have a Heart

Another great challenge over at Tag Tuesday started today..and I am hosting and offering a little prize to one of the entries..so well worth popping over and having a play.
My theme is "Have a Heart", not only is February my birth month,it is also the month for love.
Now your tag dosen't have to be Valentine or Romantically themed..just show a heart or hearts on your tag somewhere to qualify to enter the challenge...just have fun...
Here are the 2 tags I created....

I created the background with acrylic paints, gesso ,stencils and stamps, then I added 2 die hearts that I had daubed with red acrylic paint.
To finish I inked around the edge of the tag to slightly distress it.

For this tag I added vintage backing paper and stamped over that..I swiped over the whole tag with a thin coat of gesso, once dry I went over the tag with walnut stain distress ink, leaving the centre of the tag lighter than the sides. Using the same ink, I stamped some little hearts on to the tag.
I stamped, painted and cut out the Gibson girl's head and added her to the tag, then added some vintage lace and binding that I had inked up and dried. The flower was actually shop bought but was just perfect for this tag.

Hope to see you enter the challenge...you can find it here

In the Pink....

Well, I do believe my mojo has returned..I have done no crafting since before christmas..so annoying and it wasn't for the want of trying, just that nothing was coming together. I think we all hit a block like that from time to time don't we.
Any, enough of my ramblings..I am pleased to share a Tag with you today that I made for Tag Tuesday the theme is Anything Goes.
I actually cut the Tag from mountboard and coloured it with distress ink ( pickled raspberry).

I stamped the script background, then the numbers and words etc. I stamped the naked lady on some spare card, lightly shaded her with paints and added her to my tag.
The embellishing is an earring that I snapped the post off from the back, then added a key.
Why not pop over and join in with this fortnight's challenge..you can find the blog here..

My "Blue" Tag

Happy New Year to all my followers..I hope 2018 will be a good year for us all....

My first post of the year is for More Mixed Media...and their challenge this month is Anything Goes with the option of using the colour "Blue"
My project is a Blue Tag..so pleased I made it a few weeks ago as my crafting mojo had deserted me at the moment, I am hoping it makes a speedy return.

I created the background for my tag using random stamps and masks from my stash and different coloured inks, then in black ink I stamped this fab lady from Finnibar stamps.
Adding some muslin and speckled mesh to the lower area of the tag before adding the flowers. I then added extra heart that I stamped.
Do pop over and check out this fab challenge..there are some gorgeous digi papers for the Winner..so well worth entering..hope to see you there...
